Burnice Rayburn

Burnice “Bo” Rayburn, 82, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 9, 2017. He was born on December 29, 1934 in the rural Texas woods of San Augustine County to E.O. Dock Rayburn and Sarah Francis Carrell Rayburn. Bo graduated from Broaddus High School in 1954. He retired from Atochem after working many years as a Shift Supervisor. Bo was a member and a Deacon of First Baptist Church of Highlands and loved God. While his health allowed, he was very involved with the church and church missions. He enjoyed fixing and building things, including several houses in the surrounding Highlands area. Bo was a licensed pilot and loved to fly airplanes. Bo was a friendly and caring man who will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Juanell Wall Rayburn; parents, E.O Dock and Sarah Rayburn; sisters, Ruth Rayburn Walton, Ethel Rayburn Hunt, Vada Rayburn Ponder, and Edna Rayburn Wade; and brothers, Zeff Lester Rayburn, Jay Rayburn, and Kay Rayburn.

Bo is survived by his wife, Sarah Rayburn; sons, Charles Rayburn and wife Kathy, Mark Rayburn and wife Larissa, and Matt Rayburn and wife Robin; daughter, Susan Hubert and husband Chris; six grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Sterling-White Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Highlands, 210 N Magnolia St, Highlands, TX 77562. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery, San Augustine County, Texas.
