Deepest condolences for the passing of a sweet, wonderful lady who I had the pleasure of knowing in the early 80's. She baby sat my son Joey as well as my dear friend Lisa Berry (Phillips) son Jeremi. She was a rock and I always felt so secure in knowing my son was with her. I feel lucky for having known her.

I realize this is for leaving condolences for the family, but I also want to leave a message for Martha as well. Karolyn, Kathy and family, I know you must be hurting right now - I am sending love, prayers and healing thoughts your way. You have no idea how much I loved your mom, she was an angel on earth.
Martha - I could probably write a book about all the time we spent together in Biloxi, in Beauviour Manor. You were a huge part of mine, and Jeremi's life. You are a BFF for sure. We spent many an hours on our steps in the afternoons and evening figuring out world peace - confined to our own little worlds! I could always count on you to keep me up to date on what was going on in our part of town.
More important, you were a friend beyond compare. You helped me raise that little hellion, Jeremi. You were the only one he loved and did not mind being with. If I was not leaving him with "Old Martha", I was not leaving him with anyone. You took care of him, cooked his favorite foods (you got him going on ground beef and cabbage!), and loved him. I'll never forget the time when he had a teacher come to the house and he ran away from her. You came out and told her to go ahead and leave, and you would get him back - and you did.
Like I said before, I could write a book about you. Beyond me loving you there are a whole host of people behind me... Jeremi, Little Joey, Jack, and my dad. You were, and are an angel, and I am so blessed that you were in my life. My only regret is not being able to see you and spend time with you once I left Biloxi. No matter the miles and time - true friendship will never go away, and I am her to tell you that I love, and will miss you, my friend.

Karolyn and Gerry, I know the pain you are feeling in your Heart seems to have no end, but believe me when I say that it will lessen as time goes on. Mrs. Hill was a beautiful Lady with an incredible soul- she will be greatly missed by all who had the honor and privilege of knowing this great Lady. May God watch over her and may she rest in peace.
