Alma Major

Alma Heim Major went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on October 12, 2021. Alma loved and served the Lord, and was a member of Community Baptist Church in Crosby, Texas for 35+ years.

Alma was born in Park Ridge, New Jersey and at the time of her death, resided in Huntsville, Texas.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life Jim, daughter-in-law, Donna Major, grandsons, James W. Major Jr. and Wesley R. Dunning, and siblings, Molly, Bill, Irma, Flora and Norma.

Alma is survived by her children, James W. Major and wife Beth; daughter, Nancy L. Dunning and husband Roy; son, Daniel C. Major; daughter, Jill A. Farrell and husband, Fred; grandchildren, Christopher Dunning and wife Jennifer, Brenda Major-Green and husband, Darin, Scott Dunning, Daniel Major, Jason Major, Heather Turner and husband Bryan, Douglas MacRae and wife Jess, Katelyn MacRae, Reginald Farrell, and Aaron Farrell; great-grandchildren, James D., Alissa, Katie, Lily, Douglas, Amanda, Joshua, Randy, Kendra, Riley, Aiden, Sadie, Aspen, Macy, Sebastian, and Jaxon; great-great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Linley, and Landyn; sister, Olga Hagens; and a host of extended family and friends.

Alma always wanted to be a nurse, and later in life, went to school and became one. She also had a talent for writing, and recently wrote and published three children’s books.

Her favorite way to spend her time was with her family.
