Asa Robert Hearn

Asa Robert Hearn, “Asa Bob”, 73, a lifetime resident of Crosby, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020. He was born on June 16, 1946 in Baytown, Texas to Wilbur Asa Hearn and Myrth Fore Hearn. He married the love of his life Wilma Stasney Hearn and they had two sons, Blane and Coy. Asa Bob worked for Exxon for 18 years and retired in 2001.

Asa Bob loved baseball, car racing, and going hunting. He was stubborn at times but always giving and friendly. He was not a fancy guy but rather a simple man. He was well liked and was known to joke around. Most will remember him for recording everything and carrying a video camera on his shoulder. Asa Bob was a very special man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Myrth Hearn.

Asa Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wilma Hearn; sons, Blane Hearn and wife Carol, and Coy Hearn and wife Heidi; brother, Darrell Hearn; grandchildren, Hunter Hearn and fiancé Amanda Gooch, Carlan Hearn, and Maggie Hearn; and a host of extended family and friends.  

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00p.m. until 8:00p.m on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Sterling-White Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00a.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020, at Sterling-White Funeral Home with interment in Sterling-White Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, Texas 77562.
