Bettie Loue Fisher

We regretfully announce the passing of Bettie Loue Fisher, 84, of Houston, Texas on October 15, 2021.  Bettie passed gracefully into the gentle arms of God while surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on June 18, 1937 in Lockesburg, Arkansas.

Bettie came from a large family, she had four sisters and two brothers.   In 1954 she met Ted Marvin Fisher Sr., the love of her life, and together they had four sons William, Ronald, James and Duane. Upon her marriage to Ted, she inherited her dear step-children, Martha and Ted Marvin Fisher Jr.  Bettie loved her family with all her heart and was thankful for the opportunity to also raise her two granddaughters, Sylvia and Amy. She was a fiercely dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. 

Bettie created a legacy of strength and love that would lead us to believe that she would be with us forever and we were all very fortunate to have her as head of our family for the time we were allowed.  She gave of herself whole-heartedly and would ask nothing in return.  After retiring from the local school district, she enjoyed spending time with family, going to church, baking, gardening and caring for her pets. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bettie was preceded in death by her husband Ted, her son James, her stepdaughter, Martha, her daughter-in-law Dawn, and all of her siblings.  

She is survived by her sons, William and spouse Sue, Ronald, Duane and spouse Robyn, and her stepson Ted.   Her grandchildren, Sylvia Fisher McMullan and spouse David, Amy Fisher Fry, Ted William Fisher, Caleb Fisher, Eric Berry, Anthony Franks and spouse Barbara, Stephanie Fisher and spouse Jo, Jacob Ronald Fisher, Samantha Fisher, Josh Fisher and Jacob Fisher.  She is also survived by her numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Bettie will be held 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562. Funeral Services will take place 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 22, 2021 at Sterling-White Funeral Home with interment to follow in Sterling-White Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jon Fry, David McMullan, Danny McMullan, Jacob Ronald Fisher, Joshua Fisher, and Jacob Fisher. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Fisher, Duane Fisher, Bill Fisher, and Ted Fisher III.
