Callie Rae Soffes

Callie Rae Soffes, 51, of Crosby, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019. She was born on December 4, 1967 in Houston, Texas to Johnnie Wayne Wisdom and Marilyn Rae Wooten McDonald. Over the years she was known to be an entrepreneur and owned Captain Kiwi’s Seafood Market in Crosby. At one point, her market was known to be the largest supplier of crawfish in the Houston area. She was a wonderful cook and her specialty was seafood. She was proud of her family and loved them dearly. Callie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Wisdom; grandparents, Rachel; “Raye” Lou Greer, Travis Greer, Claude Wisdom, and Callie Clarien Wisdom; and uncle, Alley Strokos.

Callie is survived by her dear friend, James Stephens; children, Chelsea Gillie and fiancé Dave Karwowski, Cameron Soffes and wife Stephanie; and Taylor Biedekapp; grandchildren, Laikynn Karwowski and Bradley Soffes; mother, Marilyn McDonald; father, “Papa” Pete McDonald; sister, Jamie McDonald-Fininis; brother, Jerry McDonald Harris and wife Kelli; nieces, Rylee Fininis and Kori Harris; nephews, Alex Fininis and Ty Harris; aunts, Barbara Hillhouse and uncle Cecil, Jackie Powell and uncle Wayne, Judy Quinters, Debbie Unkart and Angela Steele(Bobby); uncles, Gary Strokos and wife Gail, and Andy Strokos and wife Rita; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Sterling White Funeral Home from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Funeral services will immediately follow.
