Tribute

Carla Ann Adcock, age 62, of Baytown, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, July 24, 2022.  Carla was born on September 19, 1959 in Spokane, Washington.  She moved to Baytown as a youth, graduating from Lee High School in 1977.  She married the love of her life, Ronnie Adcock, on October 16, 1981 and together they raised two daughters, Megan and Sara.

Carla spent 15 years as the director of School of Creative Learning childcare center, where she made lifelong friendships with her coworkers and the families they served.  Carla loved being a mama and especially cherished her role as Gammy to her six grandchildren.  She enjoyed her annual Frio trips, camping with Ronnie, shopping, and her special girls’ trips with her dear friends.  Carla’s favorite place was her back porch with her precious pups whom she loved dearly.  She was a friend to all and will be missed by many.

Carla is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Russell and Joyce Bruce; step mother, Melanie Russell; stepfather, Fred Bruce; father in law, Merl Adcock; grandparents Jack and Jessie Russell, and Irvin and Allean May; nephew, Michael Dickerman.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Adcock; daughters Megan (Shaun) O’Bannion and Sara (Vince) Davis; grandchildren Dylan Davis, Wiley Davis, Connor O’Bannion, Corbin O’Bannion, Jacob Davis, Callen O’Bannion; brother, Wayne (Debbie) Russell; sisters, Corine (Johnny) Gregory, Paige Russell (Matt Shiver), Lori (Gary) Kreder; mother in law, Joy Adcock Greenawalt; uncle, Don May; brother in law Terry (Sandy) Adcock; sisters in law, Sherrill (Gilbert) Santana and Kay Perez; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers are Brennen Reznicek, Kasyn Franco, Brady Fischer, Logan Russell, Jason Fischer, and Aaron Borel.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 30th, 2022 at Sterling White Funeral Home from 10am-11:30 am.  The service will be held at 11:30 am with burial immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ASPCA in honor of Carla’s love for her dogs or a charity of your choice.
