Charles Edward Birdwell

Charles Edward Birdwell Jr. age 62 of Highlands, Texas was released from his pain to be with our Lord on July 15, 2020 with his beloved family by his side. Charlie was born February 13, 1958 in Cushing, Texas the son of Charles Birdwell Sr. and Billie Jean Barr Birdwell. A longtime resident of Highlands, TX., where he resided with his wife Helen Gyllstrom-Birdwell. He served US Marines from 1976-1980 and went on to work as a heavy equipement operator for numerous years. He is preceded in death by his mother Billie Jean Barr Birdwell and a granddaughter Michelle Rene Warnke. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Helen Gyllstrom-Birdwell, father Charles Birdwell Sr., sisters Mary Holter, Sharon McCorkle, Angela Hollaway (Kevin), step-children Melissa Wilkinson (David), Danelle Kite (Steve), Jason Gyllstrom (Kimberly). In addition he leaves his beloved grandchildren: Emily Anne Churchhill (Logan); Crysta Medina (Alex); Dakota McIntire (Brittany Cain); Phoenix William Cruz Gyllstrom; Wyatt Wayne Wilkinson. Great grandchildren: Oaklyn Reign; Maddison; Jay Lynn. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
