Deborah (Hilton) Basham

Deborah “Debbie” Jane Basham was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023 at age 68.

She was born to Raymond and Sarah Hilton on September 16, 1955.  She grew up in Port Neches, Texas, with her sister Tina and brother Ronald.

Debbie is survived by her devoted husband, Frank, of 46 years.  She was a mother to Frank Jr, Janine, Jeanie, and Crystal.  She was a proud Grams to Jake, Khyla, Grace, Jax, Cade, Aiden, Kearston, and Wyatt.  Her bright smile will be missed.

Debbie loved spending time in the kitchen, decorating her home for holidays, and shopping for others.  She used her talents serving for many years at her church whether it be organizing VBS dinners, shopping for the Awanas store, hosting a DNow youth group at her home, or helping in the ladies ministry.  She loved the Lord and had a desire to serve Him by serving others.

She loved to spend time on others.  She spent hours trying to find a perfect gift or make an event special.  She was the best shopper around and passed her talents on to those that wanted to learn!

Debbie was also the best packer for a trip!  Her suitcases were filled with all the necessities:  gummy life savers, pop tarts, an assortment of chips, popcorn, and chocolates…and don’t forget everyone’s favorite beverages!  She never missed a detail of anything she was planning.

She loved all her trips to Disney and Universal so much that she practically could have her own Hallmark store with all her Grinch and Disney ornaments!

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends but what a joy to know she is with her Savior.
