Donald Eugene Gibbs

Donald Eugene Gibbs, 87, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019. He was born on November 10, 1931 in Niles, Ohio to Frank Gibbs and Mabel Gifford Gibbs.  He proudly served in the Navy on the USS Shangri-La from December of 1948 to August of 1952.  He was a family man, whose kids came first.  He was a hard worker who loved his job.  He was known for being a joker. He was jovial and a people person.  He never met a stranger.  Donald was a man’s man.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mabel Gibbs; brother, Frank Gibbs Jr.; brother, Bill Gibbs; sister, Vera Aubel and sister, Helen Bissel.

He is survived by wife of sixty-eight years, Majorie Gibbs; daughter, Georgia Treharne; son, Terry Gibbs and wife Rita; son, Donald Gibbs and wife Janet; son, Jack Gibbs and wife Diana; daughter, Diana Lamb; son, Mark Gibbs and wife Carla; son, Tim Gibbs and wife Lynn; daughter, Karen Bowe and husband Roger; son, Douglas Gibbs and wife Darlene; son, Michael Gibbs and wife Tammie and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
