Earl E. Wolcik, 85, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020. He was born on January 16, 1935 in Highlands, Texas to Joseph “Joe” Edwin Wolcik and Mollie Kabela Wolcik. He was a graduate of Robert E Lee High School and Sam Houston State University. Earl retired after working 35 years for Tenneco/El Paso. After retirement he and wife, Carolyn, built their dream home in Castell, Texas where they enjoyed many years of gardening, fishing, hunting, and watching the wildlife on the property.
Earl continued the family tradition, from his father, of making peanut brittle, every Christmas, and loved frying turkeys for family and friends on the holidays. He was a member of the Castell United Methodist Church. He was a friend to everyone and will be dearly missed.
Earl is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Wolcik; parents, Joe and Mollie Wolcik, and former wife, Hazel Flournoy Burwick.
Earl is survived by his children, Leslie Walsingham, Brad Wolcik and wife Jan, Rhonda Decker and husband Keith, Connie Clawson and husband Jessie, Mark Jones and wife Catherine Woody-Jones; sister, Virginia Allison and husband John; nephews, Ron Allison and wife Lisa, and Daryl Allison and wife Catherine; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends. The family would like to recognize and thank the staff and his “special” caregivers of The Waterford at Baytown Memory Care Unit, especially his special angel “Sara”.

Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, with funeral services following at 2:00pm. Interment will follow immediately at Sterling White Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.
