Jerry Wayne Henderson, 66, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019. He was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on December 8, 1952, to Thomas Russell and Fay Laverne Henderson. Jerry was known as a gentle sweetheart that liked to take care of everybody.  He had a keen sense of humor and wit.  He was a hardworker, spending many years working security at Celanese Corporation.  He was an avid coin and lighthouse collector.  Jerry enjoyed singing in his spare time, especially karaoke. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Fay Henderson; sister, Janet Henderson and daughter, Vicki Jean Henderson.

 

Jerry is survived by his step-mother, Joyce Mason; brother, Tommy Henderson and wife Betty; nephew, Jason Henderson and wife Taylor; aunt, Glenda Prescott and husband Wayne; aunt, Jeanette Wicker and husband Raymond; cousins, Gaylynn Milliorn and husband James, Ginger Mashburn and husband Randy, Macy Breaux and husband Tyler, Gary Wicker and wife Karen, Shaun Wicker and wife Stephanie and Jarrod Aiken and wife Pankita and special friend, Zondra Archie.

 

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 also at Sterling White Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.
