John Franklin Shipley Jr, 58, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, in Webster, Texas. He was born on July 17, 1962, in San Diego, California, to Zelma Deibert Shipley and the late John Shipley Sr. John graduated from Ross S. Sterling in Baytown, Texas, in 1980. Afterward, he attended Lee College. John was a safety coordinator for Bayou Processing and Storage. He was an ordained minister and had opened up his home to hold services.

John was a person who pursued many interests, some of which included being an avid reader, studying history, especially biblical history, fishing and duck hunting. He was a strong spirited person who was not only strong in spirit but was strong in body as well. John was very compassionate man who would do for others without hesitation. He was a man of conviction and was strong in his faith.

John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, pastor and friend to many who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father; his father in law Jerald Sanders Brookfield Sr.; his brother in law Jerald Sanders Brookfield Jr.; his sister in law and Cherri Brookfield. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his beloved wife Angela of 39 years; his mother Zelma; his children Jeremiah Shipley and wife Veronica Watts of Spring, Texas, Charity Shipley of Hawaii, Bethany Spillman and husband Travis of Stafford, Texas, Benjamin Shipley of Hawaii; his siblings David Shipley and wife Aleasha of Old River-Winfree, Texas, Tami Govreau and husband Brian of Baytown, Texas, Glen Shipley of Old River- Winfree, Texas, Amy Shipley Maddie and husband Lane of Baytown, Texas, his grandson Justice; mother in law Ollie Brookfield, his sister in law Susan Vaughan and Paul Voisinet of Austin, Texas, numerus nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Friends are invited to visit the family on Friday, December 5,2020, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the chapel of Sterling~ White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, Texas 77562. A funeral service will follow at 2pm with Bro Gene Talbott officiating.
