Julia Ann Disney

Julia Ann Disney (Carter) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Julia was born in Morehead, KY to her Father Junior Carter and her Mother Nellie Carter (Stamper). In 1966 Junior, Nellie and their 7 children moved to Indiana where her Father Junior Carter passed away. Nellie would later be remarried to Julia’s Dad Junior Wolford and his 4 children. In 1973 Julia married the love of her life her Husband Michael Dwayne Disney Sr. About 1984 Julia and her family moved to Texas to accompany her parents in search of work and have resided in the Dayton, TX area since.

Julia was a God fearing woman with unwavering faith in her lord and savior Jesus Christ. Her faith always came first and her greatest mission was to bring everyone she could to salvation. Julia and her husband Michael Disney Sr. celebrated their 50th anniversary on June 29th 2023. Family was everything and it consumed her every breath. Doing things for family is what made Julia happy. Saying no to family was impossible for her! One way or another she was going to make sure the people she loved had what they need and were taken care of. Holidays were her favorite times, Christmas being her number one because it celebrated Jesus’ Birthday and brought the whole family together. Though at times it seemed to be a time to talk about work, catch up on how the plant was running, and where the next turnaround was going to be. She understood someone would not be able to be at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other special events because they had to work. She spent 10+ years in the plants as a boilermaker/pipefitter working turnarounds. She completely understood how difficult work life balance was for a family.

Julia was a proceeded in death by her Father Junior Carter, Mother Nellie Wolford, and Dad Junior Wolford. Brother: Bobby, Burl. Grandchildren: Jason and Julia.

Julia was survived by her husband Michael Disney Sr, Children: Daniel Wagner, Michael Disney Jr. and wife Cynthia, Trent Disney and wife Solia, Melissa and husband Robert Stringer, Jason Disney and wife Tasha, Travis Disney. Siblings: Bettsy, Lora, Ruthie and husband Shawn, Billy, Linda, Wayne, Jerry, Jimmy. Aunt: Ruth. Grandchildren: Michael, Alexis, Waylon, Kamryn, Kelsey, Aryn, Kasia, Elijah, Ristyen, Faith, Hannah, Candace, Sarah, Destiny, Travis, Delilah. Great Grandchildren: Tanner, Everlie, Korah, Braylee, Dax, Jasper, Zoey, Mayze. And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
