Laura Louise Rucka

Laura Louise Rucka, 58, of Crosby, Texas, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 3, 2019. She was born on August 31, 1960 in Jacinto City, Texas to Robert King and Marguerite King. She graduated from Galena Park in 1978. Laura was married to the love of her life, Randy, for 39 years, and together they raised their three children. Over the years, she enjoyed going on vacation and traveling with her children and grandchildren. She was an outgoing person who loved spending time with her friends and family. Her grandchildren kept their “Nana” busy and she did everything they wanted to do. Laura loved making memories with her children and babysitting her grandchildren. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Laura will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her father Robert King.

Laura is survived by her husband Randy Rucka; her mother Marguerite Barton King, her children Amy Glover and husband Justin Glover, Renae Hudson and her husband Kevin Hudson, and Daniel Rucka and wife, Claire Rucka; her sister Nancy Dreahn and husband Michael Dreahn, her grandchildren: Tanner Glover, Cameron Glover, Bailey Glover, Carter Hudson, Ryland Hudson, and Leo Rucka. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and numerous extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home. A rosary will be held before the visitation at 4:30pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 915 Runneburg, Crosby, TX. Interment to follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
