Lawrence Raymond Bastian

Our much loved son, brother and uncle, Lawrence ‘Raymond’ Bastian (also known as Larry by many of his friends), age 63, of Baytown, Texas passed away unexpectedly on November 27, 2021. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Lawrence and Laquita Ann Bastian.

Raymond graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School with the class of 1976. Following his graduation, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. until he was honorably discharged.  He drove a long-haul truck and lived in the Los Angeles area for a few years where he enjoyed working with horses and raising Rottweilers. When he returned to his hometown of Baytown, he worked as a pipefitter at many different job sites until his retirement.

He was a Harley enthusiast and enjoyed taking long rides. He was a “go big or go home” kind of guy and which could be seen by his Harleys and truck.

Unfortunately, due to his untimely death his dream to travel and own a house in the country was never realized.

Raymond was preceded in death by his mother, Laquita Ann Bastian, his sister Dorothy (Dottie) Palmer both of Baytown, and of his brother Wayne Bastian of Crosby. He is survived by his father, Lawrence Bastian of Baytown and two sisters and their spouses, Audrey and David Peters of Las Vegas and Laura and Ricky Robison of Baytown, and six nieces and nephews; Terry Wayne Walles of Orange, Joseph Robison and spouse Holly of Baytown, Kyle Palmer and partner Stephanie Coker of Lake Jackson, Kristen Robison and partner Randy Johnson of Crosby, Jessica Peters and David Peters both of Las Vegas and seven great nieces and nephews; Kaden, Karter, Kailyn, Josie, Adeline, Lincoln and Gracie.

A visitation will begin at 10:00am, Tuesday, December 7, 2021 in Sterling White Cemetery, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562 with graveside services to begin at 10:30am.
