Leonard Joseph Wilson Jr., 51, passed away July 4, 2020 at home in Barrett Station, Crosby, Texas surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. He was born on December 11, 1968 in Liberty, Texas to his parents, Gloria Hadnot Wilson and Leonard Joseph Wilson Sr.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Laurice Mitchell, Eddie Hadnot and Lake Rodgers Hadnot; uncles, Jessie Hadnot Sr., Holly Hadnot Sr.; Aunt, Martha Hadnot Monroe; and brother, Calvin Dixson Sr.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his mother, Gloria Hadnot Wilson; father, Leonard Joseph Wilson Sr.; brothers, Dorian Wilson ( Eunice) of Dallas, Texas, Derrick Wilson (Dora) of Czech Republic and Michael Dixon of Bernice, Louisiana; Aunts, Earnestine Griffith (Ulyse) of Dayton, Texas and Jackie David of Ames, Texas; Great-Aunt, Della Edwards of Barrett Station, Texas; sister-in-law, Jennifer Beverly (Herbert) of Crosby, Texas; nieces, J’Nea Dixon and LaDorian Wilson; nephews, Calvin Dixon Jr., Dorian Wilson Jr.; great-nephews, Logan Hall, Legend Hall, and Marion Joseph Wilson of Czech Republic; great-niece, Laci Robinson of Barrett Station, Texas; Freda (Sister) Lewis Wilson; Nolan Williams; Andre Clark; Jennifer (Vet) Dangerfield; and Daboria Weathersby. He is also survived by many close neighbors, friends and best friends.

Leonard was affectionately known as P-Nut by family and friends. It was a nickname given to him by his mother. Peanut attended Crosby High School where he was a happy guy with lots of friends. He moved to Houston, Texas where he did numerous jobs, including Lawn Care. In January 2019 he moved back home. Leonard loved to go to Rock of Ages Church where he would walk every Sunday. In February his health began to fail. He had to use a walker, but he walked to church and after a while he couldn’t walk, but still talked about Pastor Johnny Henderson spreading the good news. Peanut fought until he couldn’t fight anymore. Leonard also enjoyed playing cards, dominoes and dancing with his cousins, family and friends. His biggest joy was spending time and being spoiled by his two special nieces.
