Martha Elena Gallegos de Rico

Martha Elena Rico, 41, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 in Houston, Texas. She was born February 16, 1981 in Rio Verde, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to parents Severino Gallegos and Luz Elena Balderas. Martha is preceded in death by her grandmother Gumecinda Oviedo; grandfather Margarito Gallegos; grandmother Romana Balderas; grandmother-in-law Agripina Florez; and brother-in-law Benjamin Martinez.

Martha had a big heart and was always willing to help others in need. She loved spending quality time with her daughter and her family. She always had a big smile on her face and was very generous with everyone she knew. Martha will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Martha is survived by her husband Remedios Rico; daughter Mariana Rico; parents Severino Gallegos and Luz Elena Balderas; siblings Claudia Martinez, Martin Gallegos, Alfredo Gallegos, Carmela Gallegos, Ana Gallegos, Elva Gallegos, Rodrigo Gallegos, and Mayra Gallegos; father-in-law Rogelio Rico; mother-in-law Victoria Denes; in-laws Felipe Rico, Rogelio Rico, Victoria Rico, Ana Rosa Rico, and Ramon Rico along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Martha will be held 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2022 at Sterling White Funeral Home with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Baytown, Texas with interment to follow in Sterling White Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Martin Gallegos, Rodrigo Gallegos, Alfredo Gallegos, Ana Gallegos, Felipe Rico, Ramon Rico, Rogelio Rico, Jose Oviedo, and Remedios Rico.
