Mary Katherine Pittman

Mary “Kathy” Katherine Pittman met her children, Kirk and Nicole, in Heaven on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the age of 72. She was born on June 10, 1947 in North Carolina to Loy Daniel Bolick and Laura Davis. Kathy spent most of her younger years in Florida, and she never minded telling you stories of her childhood.

Kathy married the love of her life, Louis Pittman, on December 27, 1986. She worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (at the Dayton Prison) for over 15 years. In her free time, Kathy loved to sew and crochet; she dedicated an entire room in her house to sewing. Kathy enjoyed making blankets, pillows, and sweaters; and also hemming clothes for friends and family. During dinner time, the aroma of Kathy’s cooking filled the entire house, whether it was fresh bread, Po’boys, hamburger steaks or baked goods. She treated all her grandchildren’s friends as if they were her own grandchildren and loved having company over. Kathy will forever be remembered as a mother, a wife, a granny, a friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Loy Daniel Bolick and Laura Davis, son Kirk Delva, daughter Nicole Delva, and sister Barbara Bolick.

Kathy leaves behind to cherish her memory, loving husband of 32 years, Louis “Boots” Pittman, granddaughters Katie Price and Lacie Burns, grandson Kirk Price, stepson Shannon Pittman, and her fur babies Ellie, Ginger and Jenny. She is also survived by in-laws, extended family and friends.

A Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.
