Rose Mary Kaptchinskie Farmer, 98, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. She was born on September 4, 1920 in Bryan, Texas to Stanley Kaptchinskie and Mary Melcer Kaptchinskie. Rose was strong in her faith and was parishioner at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Athens, Texas. Over the years she was also a parishioner at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, and Resurrection Catholic Church. Rose was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America; Court Madre de Dios #2068. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, and being devoted to her family. Rose will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Jasper “Buck” Farmer; parents, Stanley and Mary Kaptchinskie; brothers, Stanley Kaptchinskie, Pete Kaptchinskie, Frankie Kaptchinskie, and Johnny Kaptchinskie; and son-in-law, Wayne Kitzmann.
Rose is survived by her children, Jack Farmer and wife Linda, Willie Farmer and wife Carol, and Myrtle Farmer Kitzmann; brother, Gilbert Kaptchinskie and wife Bobbie; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 800 S Main St, Highlands, TX 77562. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00pm.
