Ruth Vallee McLane Reese, 89, of Crosby, Texas, passed away November 17, 2023, in Humble, Texas. Ruth was born in Ralls, Texas, to Clyde McLane Sr. and Lillian Earp McLane on February 5, 1934.

Moving to the Houston area as a young adult, Ruth, an avid golfer, was drawn to Indian Shores by the neighborhood golf course. Ruth retired from a successful career in second-line management with Southwestern Bell/AT&T. For decades, Ruth was active with the Indian Shores POA, the Indian Shores Garden Club and First Baptist Church Crosby. As her health was declining in the last year, Ruth stated over and over how grateful she was for her neighbors.

Ruth is preceded in death by both of her parents, her elder brother, Clyde McLane, Jr., nephew, Roy Pinkert II, and nieces, Mandy McLane Wilkins, and Vallee Pinkert Cockrell.

Ruth is survived by her brother, William Delano McLane, and wife Mary Ann; sister, Sonie McLane Pinkert; sister-in-law, Bonnie McLane; nephews, Clyde McLane III, Craig McLane, William Devin McLane; and nieces, Leesa McLane, Keri McLane McCoy, Kristi McLane Floyd.
