Sandra Marie Joiner

Sandra Marie “Chick” Joiner, 72, passed away with her loving family by her side on Monday, April 12, 2021. She was born on April 11, 1949, in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Allen Seymour and Marie Bosarge Seymour. She was of the Catholic faith. On September 22, 1973, she married the love of her life Carl Joiner, where they began their life together raising their children.

Sandy was a laid-back fun-loving person who pursued many interests, some of which included her love for crabbing, cooking, and being out on the bayou. Her passion in life was her family and raising the children and grandchildren. Sandy was always outside with her animals. If anyone were to be asked they would say that she was a person who could always be found barefooted.

Sandy was a loving wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Frances Darlene Patterson. She was survived by her beloved husband Carl; her children Carl Joiner Jr. of Highlands, Texas, Les Joiner of Highlands, Texas; her only granddaughter Tayler Joiner, of Highlands, Texas; her 4 great-grandchildren; her siblings Donna Wittershim and husband Dan of Mississippi, Sherry Anderson and husband Eric of Mississippi, Renee Cazzelle, and husband James of Mississippi, Angela Lynch and husband Arnold of Mississippi, Tonya Allen and husband Robert of Mississippi, John Seymour of Mississippi, Kevin Seymour and wife Lynda of Mississippi, Timothy Seymour and wife Deana of Mississippi; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A Memorial service for Mrs. Joiner will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, beginning at 3:00 pm, in the chapel of Sterling~White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 77562.
