Shirley Yeshuran Bush

Shirley Yeshurun Clifton Bush, age 57, passed away at her home in Crosby, Texas on October 1, 2019. Shirley was born the daughter of Edwin Earl Clifton and La Vonne Peeks in Channelview, Texas on September 26, 1962.  At the age of 16, she met the love of her life, Timmy Bush, whom she married two years later.  It was a marriage for all to envy, and that lasted for over 38 years until her death.

Shirley was a graduate of San Jacinto College and went on to receive her bachelor degree in History from the University Of Houston - Clear Lake.  Education became her passion as she taught both History and Government at Deer Park ISD and Crosby ISD.  Shirley loved spending time with her family during gatherings at their home, and enjoyed gardening and picking fruit from the many trees she had planted.

Her finest joy was at the birth of her son, Joey, whom she treasured as her “miracle baby”.  Nothing gave her as much pleasure and pride as watching him grow into a handsome young man pursuing his own dreams at Texas A&M.

Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved sister Marisa “Rocky” Cloessner, and her father Edwin Earl Clifton. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband Timmy D. Bush, son Joey D. Bush, mother La Vonne Bell, sister Chrisy Clifton, and brothers Brett Bell (Nicole) and Clif Clifton (Misty).  She also leaves behind her adored nieces and nephews: Teia Holley (Chad), Ashton Tolbert (Tiffany), Garrett Bell, Jake Cloessner, Katie Cloessner, Shelton Bell, Jackson Bell, Kristen Bush, Kari Bush, Nicholas Clifton, Jordan Clifton and three great nephews. She left a legacy of kindness and generosity for all who knew and loved her, and will be sadly missed by her many friends and family.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 6 pm at Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Road, Highlands, Texas. Visitation to be held one hour prior to the service.
