Steven Timothy Rawls left us all too soon on Friday, October 11, 2019. He was born on October 22, 1953 in Baytown, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Rawls.
Steve worked for Lance Inc., as a Route Salesman for many years. Receiving numerous awards for increasing sales and opening new accounts. He loved his Astros, Houston Texans and UT Longhorns.
He is preceded in death by his beloved father Weldon Wayne Rawls, grandparents John and Nannie Rawls, Emanuel and Nancy Goodman.
Steve is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Sharon Rawls; son Steven Cory Rawls and wife Heather Rawls; cherished mother Mrs. Wayne Rawls, brother Kent Rawls and wife Brenda; brother Mike Rawls and wife Marsha; sister Susan Henley and husband Thomas Henley; sister-in-law Karen Taylor and husband Steve. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. Though they did not have any grandchildren at the time of his passing, he leaves behind his beloved Yellow Lab Nelli, Mercy and Lucky.
Due to his illness he had been in and out of hospitals for years, and most recently since August 2019. The entire family would like to express their thanks to Methodist Hospital and the following physicians and their staff for their support and kindness: Dr. Sarma S. Challa, Dr. Jacobo Nurko, Dr. Sara Edeiken, Dr. Bilal Mokadden and Dr. Bufford Moore.
Steve was surrounded by his family at the end of this life and at the beginning of his new journey.
Through it all, his sense of humor remained as strong as ever, trying to comfort us and for us not to worry about him. His concern always was that of his cherished mother.
