Thelma A Waldrip

Thelma Alzata Waldrip, age 91 , went to be with the Lord on Monday June 17, 2019 . She was born in Shelbyville, Texas on April 7, 1928 to Nettie Asilee Strong Allums and John Duke Allums. She enjoyed shopping and traveling, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very sweet, loving, kind person who was always smiling. She was very faithful to her Lord and active in her church and never missed a special event. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Theodore Allen Waldrip; her son, Douglas Michael Waldrip and her daughter, Cheryl Gilmore, and her granddaughter, Cristi; her sisters, Lataine Blevins, Selma Moore, Verlie McFayden and her brother, Maurice Allums. Thelma is survived by her children, Joyce Laramore, Don Waldrip, Belinda Campbell spouse Ken Campbell, Laquita McKinnies, spouse Philip McKinnies; her twenty grandchildren and her nineteen great-grandchildren and one on the way. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at The Refuge Church 3105 Rolling Brook Dr. Baytown Texas 77521, on Tuesday June 25, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Services in the church.
