Vondeen Aurelia Schamp

Vondeen Aurelia Schamp, age 69, of Baytown, Texas went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2019. She was born on April 18, 1949 to Calvin and LeOla Bickford. Vondeen was a homemaker and caregiver who took care of everyone. She loved being a mother, not just to her own kids but to everyone’s kids. She was an animal lover who owned many different types of pets and even her own aviary of birds. Vondeen was very strong-willed; she enjoyed reading, crafting and shopping. Her family was, as she liked to say, “her whole world,” and she loved her children and grandchildren more than anything.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Lewis Schamp, her father Calvin Eugene Bickford, her mother Mattie LeOla Bickford and her loving dog companion Rosco.

Vondeen is survived by daughter Tonya Johnson and husband Terry, daughter Tracy Parrino and husband James, son James Schamp and wife Denise, brother Donnie Bickford, brother Clay Bickford, sister Robin Tolbert, and brother Owen Bickford. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild on the way, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be James Parrino, Dino Acevedo, Heath Anthony, Baldemar Ramirez, TJ Brinson and John Acevedo.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 11:00pm to 1:00pm at Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 77562. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
